I chose the image of the Möbius Circle because the meaning of the Möbius Circle is that no matter where you start, you end up back where you started. I thought it was the same as the cycle of the seasons so I chose the image of the Möbius Ring.
In the spring the seeds are sown, in the summer the rice fields are irrigated, the wheat sprouts, in the autumn the wheat fields start to produce a good harvest, and in the winter the straw is collected and composted as fertiliser for the next spring, and finally it returns to spring.
The straw is collected and composted in the winter as fertiliser for the following spring.
Cut a long strip of wood into a number of small sections and attach the strip to a ring made of paper. Hopefully the strip will bend slightly to form a ring. But in fact the strip is so brittle that it breaks when it is bent and does not fit tightly into the paper.

I tried fitting the paper loop vertically with a small wooden stick and I could fit it very tightly and it translated more smoothly at the junction between the faces. But there was no way to join the weave in.

I made a few Möbius rings out of the clay and used wire and paper strips to make the large shapes before wrapping the clay around them. I added some texture to the top to see if I could get the feel of a wheat ear, and finally tried putting the woven texture on the Möbius rings.
